    Musee Anime du Jouet et des Petits Trains de Colmar

    The Animated Toy and Miniature Train Museum in Colmar is suitably housed within the former Vauban movie theatre. A great range of items is on display here including machines, robots, marionette puppets, models, a miniature railroad network and more. Some temporary exhibits are also featured on ocassion. Inquire locally for hours and admission costs.

    Musee Bartholdi
    Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi was the sculptor of the famous "Statue of Liberty." In 1834 he was born in Colmar, and the museum is held within the house he was born in. Models, plans and documentation regarding the statue are on display.

    Musee d'Unterlinden

    The Unterlinden Museum features a large collection of artworks including paintings and sculptures; the most famous of these is the Retable d'Issenheim (Issenheim Altarpiece), which has been proclaimed as one of the most moving pieces of art in the museum. Also on display is a wine cellar, weapons, armour and more.
